• The Laboratory was established and operationalized through conducting diagnostic studies with the enterprises, business plan, and service manuals of the Lab were prepared, the human resources base of the Laboratory was developed.
• The services of the laboratory were promoted through training, and the Lab staff delivered seminars sessions. Moreover; ISO/IEC 17025 compliant competencies and systems within the Lab were also established through training the Lab staff and producing all necessary systems and procedures. The Consultant ensured the monitoring of all Lab services, and that monthly reports were prepared.
• A Roadmap for a Regional Innovation System (RIS) for the Metals Industry was developed. For this purpose; the Industries at a global scale and national scale were analysed, and a series of workshops, as well as focus group meetings, were conducted.
