BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT

An initiative that served to strengthen energy efficiency practices and renewable energy strategies of the private sector was to be of great importance to support private sector institutions in this regard. The project aimed to support Energy Efficiency practices and renewable Energy strategies of the private sector in line with Turkey’s EU participation process via launching an initiative for an “Environment & Efficiency Centre” within the structure of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).

CONCRETE RESULTS AND OUTPUTS

The main output of this project was a feasibility report for the establishment of a ‘self-sufficient’ Environment & Efficiency Centre within TOBB. Within this context; • Needs analysis through meetings were identified • International Benchmarking Research to reach the standards was carried out • Statistical data through surveys were gathered • Needs Analysis Report was prepared • The centre that was to be established was framed • Feasibility Report was prepared
