BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT

The project's overall objective is to ensure timely, efficient and effective reforms in the education sector as part of the country’s preparations for EU accession negotiations under the Instrument for Pre-Accession. WEglobal is working with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the Institute for Development of Education, the Institute for Evaluation of the Quality of Education, and National Councils in charge of education to implement education-related reforms under the county’s Sector Reform Performance Contract (SRPC) programme.

CONCRETE RESULTS AND OUTPUTS

WEglobal is helping to: • review the existing and support development of new Serbia’s National Education Development Strategy and associated Action Plan; • improve and develop the sector’s monitoring and evaluation frameworks, including the collection of statistical and other data and development of better indicators for performance analysis and management; • establish quality assurance mechanisms across the education system, and get it approved and implemented; • improve visibility and communication in the education sector, ensure that dialogue and messaging within and among the various educational institutions, stakeholders, and the broader audience are clear, coherent and positive.
