As a result of Training Needs Analysis, key training areas are determined and realized with the participation of approximately 400 participants in the cities of Turkey such as İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Artvin, Hatay, Van, Çanakkale, Edirne, Nevşehir.
• Under awareness campaign, 50 climate action journalists / media members were successfully trained in Istanbul, 2 minutes long video spot was prepared with Anatolian theme.
• Besides, “First International Conference on Local Climate Action” will be held in Antalya in March 2019 which will be followed with the climate change portable exhibitions and public information seminars on climate change.
• Most significantly, National Climate Change Communication Plan (NCCP) will be prepared on increasing public awareness on climate action covering 5 years of implementation period by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.
• Last but not least, day to day technical support to 38 Grant Beneficiaries have been provided while currently 21 of these project finalized their implementation process. As one of the most important outputs of the component, a video spot disseminating the grant component will be prepared and shared with all parties.
