DEPAR was the first project in its field in Turkey to use a sustainable approach to identifying different types of inmates and determining tailored psychological treatment methods. Staff in prisons all over Turkey were trained to identify the underlying causes behind criminal behaviour, thereby helping to establish prison treatment regimes designed to avoid reoffending.
